Hands-on farm projects and testing audio recording ate away the week. Did get an anthology published. No progress on Wattpad or Courses. Another new book came up, so four in progress right now.

New Podcast Episodes:
A week of mostly farm work and dissing around the rest. Did get a new anthology out, but I got no real new writing done – or courses – or wattpad.
And I don’t see that farm work lightening up this week – big event upcoming Aug 10.
The only real point worth mentioning was that I have to let the stories write themselves. Get the cover made and start transcribing. There are recurring themes to take up. But don’t start “constructing” books, as it’s slow and tough work. I’m simply fighting my own best instincts for these stories.
“NaN” was the crucible. Trying to create an audio file for transcribing went nowhere. A lot of time burnt re-doing tests with a new online transcribing program (temi.com). The transcription wasn’t worth all that much unless I spent considerable time editing it. The old and new solution is to simply find a quiet space where I can record a high-quality audio for upload. Smartphone will do – if I hold it near my mouth to record. And stand in the shade somewhere I can talk without interruption. So, yes, there can still be tests for this, as a half-hour of talking can generate 6K words. Twice a day, added to my pasture walks, then adds a short story-worth of text I can revise and proof in less time.
The problem earlier was the punctuation, and quality of transcription. Temi is better, but the sounds of walking through grasses varies, and so the noise removal then makes the voice illegible.
Otherwise, the analysis remains the same.
Email is refining. People don’t want characters talking, they want real authors with real lives.
