Defining What Makes You “Wealthy”

Most people only think of wealth or “riches” as money. Through the ages it has been pointed out many times that there are certain things money can’t buy.

Yet, these riches can be attained though goal achievement methods we reviewed above (as well as the books in our bibliography).

Napoleon Hill, in “Grow Rich! With Peace of Mind”, laid out a dozen ways to be “rich”:

1. A positive mental attitude

2. Sound physical health

3. Harmony in human relationships

4. Freedom from all forms of fear

5. The hope of future achievement

6. The capacity for faith

7. A willingness to share one’s blessings

8. A labor of love as an occupation

9. An open mind on all subjects

10. Self-discipline in all circumstances

11. The capacity to understand others

12. Sufficient money

Most of those have nothing to do with the amount of money in your bank accounts, or precious metal coins you’ve stockpiled. Eleven of these cannot be acquired with any amount of money. Sure, many can be achieved by hiring a coach or buying and studying various books and courses in different formats.

But it still takes your effort to internalize and test all the material in these areas. None of these “riches” can be packaged up and distributed to chain-stores where you can just visit and buy them from their shelves.

For writers, you have to define what it is in writing that keeps you going. What are your personal rewards from to the regular work of putting words together in the best order to delight your readers.

Out of those benefits will be the reason and the wealth you get as a reward. Sure, money pays bills – but by itself won’t make you happy, give you more hope, create a loving and trusted relationship.

Choose what wealth, what riches you want to appear in your life – for the rest of your life.

And then make a plan to achieve that wealth. Those riches are goals.

Then you will find what you need to produce so you can give it away – in order to receive that wealth as payment.

To the degree you have taken those steps, and have been producing for others in abundance, is the exact degree and amount of wealth coming your way.

Actually, it’s trying to find you right now.
